Windermere Foundation visited the March Village Cohousing Works Board meeting to present a check of $2,000 supporting necessary program costs!

Village Cohousing Works' home ownership program includes months of financial mentorship with our applicants.

We coordinate with other organizations, including SNAP, and Numerica Credit Union to offer financial education and personalized budget counseling that prepares very low income households for home ownership.

Windermere Foundation's generous support will underwrite these necessary services - making it possible for us to counsel two needy families as they apply for home loans this spring.

When asked "What does it mean to you to own your own home?" One applicant told us: "It means stability for my children, space to save enough money to buy a new bed for myself, a full pantry, knowing what my bills are going to reliably be so I can sleep at night."

Thank you, Windermere Foundation!
