Just last week, Rock Hard Concrete poured and molded a sidewalk for the manufactured home that Village Cohousing Works will be putting into Takesa Village Homeowners Cooperative. Our goal is to have the whole house ready for move-in by the holidays.
This sidewalk was made by Chris Riley, the owner of Rock Hard Concrete, and his employees. Village Cohousing Works volunteer Craig Flinn was also instrumental in helping to organize and implement this project. Thanks to everyone for all the hard work that was put in - the finished product looks amazing!
The closer we get to the holiday season, the more excited we get to provide a family with the Christmas gift of their dreams - stable, affordable housing all of their own that is insulated from the dramatic pricing fluctuations that are typical of rental situations.
While we're closer than ever to our goal, we are not 100% there yet. If you would like to help provide housing to a low-income family, please consider donating to help us reach our goal of a little over $80,000. The link to donate can be found on our main page.
You could also consider donating the following items to help prepare the home for move-in: shrubs, flowers, trees, yard maintenance tools, cyclone fencing, parking strip gravel, patio furniture, and a snow shovel.
